There is a wide variety of accommnodations in Istanbul, from budget hostels to 5-star hotels. Most of them are in Sultanahmet (Old Istanbul) and Taksim (New Istanbul).

Hotels

In the below table, we listed some hotels in Taksim area, which is in a walking distance from our conference venue. Please make your booking through Oasis to get this special price by by 5 January 2009.

Istanbul is a popular venue for meetings and conferences. So we recommend you to book your accommodation as soon as possible. You can, of course, book your hotel through Oasis even after the above date. The discount rate may not be as great as the present one, but definitely cheaper than booking privately on the internet. So please check with Oasis for the best rate when you make your booking!

Hostels

There are also many budget hostels in Istanbul which you can find on the internet. If you find one close to the venue, such as Taksim Square, Tepebasi, Istiklal Street, it will allow you to walk to the conference venue. If you prefer authentic atmosphere, you can stay in Sultanahmet area, then you must use public transportation (tram and funikuler) to reach the venue. The following list shows you some of them.
