ANTARCTIC SCIENCE PROGRAMME WORKSHOP
Date: June 2-3, 2014
Location: Istanbul Technical University, Maslak Campus, Faculty of Mining, İhsan Ketin Conference Hall
Support: TÜBİTAK 2223-D Cooperation and Priority Areas Related Event Organization
The workshop, with the participation of leading scientists from the German Antarctic Science Program and academics from universities supporting the scientific work of the German Antarctic Science Program, aims to:
• Share studies involving polar regions and link these studies to global change and climate change research;
• Evaluate Turkish-German collaborations in the preparation of the National Antarctic Science Program;
• Advance the roadmap of the Turkish Antarctic Science Program, which was presented at the first workshop of the National Antarctic Science Program held on November 18-19, 2013;
• Ensure Turkey's presence and increase its visibility in the international polar research community
. The workshop will be used as an opportunity to meet German polar researchers, exchange information, facilitate communication, and initiate project projects. Your participation in the workshop would be greatly appreciated.
We kindly request that you inform us of your participation by May 5, 2014 at the latest.
