Why Turkish Names?
The Marmara Sea, a sea route whose entire coastline belongs to our country, contains three depressions deeper than 1000 meters. By giving these marine areas, which hold significant importance in the geology and ecology of the Marmara Sea, Turkish names, we will prevent the spread of incorrect, different, and confusing information. Furthermore, we wanted to show respect and honor to our professors who have made great contributions to the Marmara Sea and natural sciences and who have gained worldwide recognition. Our foundation, which has initiated a study for this purpose, also values ??public opinion on the subject and shares the following suggestions with you.
