Ocean Literacy Guide with Case Studies from Türkiye

Prepared within the framework of the SHORE Project, this guide aims to promote ocean literacy by raising awareness of the importance of the seas, their ecological balance, and sustainable use. It covers marine ecosystems and biodiversity, as well as major threats including marine pollution, climate change, alien species, and overfishing, with examples from Türkiye presented as case studies. The guide also addresses responsibilities for protecting the seas and marine resources and is intended as an educational resource for students, teachers, researchers, and decision makers. The English language guide is 58 pages long, and a Turkish version is also available.
